About RedSlipper
Built by one person who's done this work before.
Burkely McComb — operator, engineer, AI practitioner. Fifteen years in IT, eight of them in information security.
What this is
RedSlipper is an AI consulting practice run by one person with a clear focus: helping operations use AI on the work that actually matters to them. No team of generalists. No layered handoffs. One advisor doing the work, accountable to you directly.
Background
Before RedSlipper, I led enterprise infrastructure and automation at one of the nation's largest investment capital and real estate development firms — rolling out AI tooling across operating teams, migrating production systems, building the platforms the business ran on. I've shipped property management software, entity management systems, and the kind of unglamorous integrations that quietly hold a complex operation together.
The work has spanned the full operational range: early-stage startups where I was the entire IT function, and a $4B-revenue enterprise where I led the infrastructure underneath it. Eight of my fifteen years have been spent in information security specifically — which is why the security posture of this site (and everything we ship for clients) isn't an afterthought.
RedSlipper is the practice version of that work. The same engineering rigour, the same direct accountability — now available to operations that need it without having to hire it.
Why RedSlipper
The name pays homage to my firstborn daughter Dorothy. The brand carries tribute and a quiet principle: the power was always there. Most of what AI promises isn't sorcery — it makes visible hidden capability in the people and technologies of your operation. The job is to reveal it. That's the work.
